What’s your policy on cameras, beepers and cell phones in the theater?

Cameras and phones are not permitted in the theater.

The ringing of a cell or the dinging of a text can be quite distracting for both the audience and the performers. If you bring a cell phone into the theater, please turn it off before the performance begins. If you must use your cell phone at intermission, please remember to turn it off before re-entering the theater. Any type of recording device is strictly prohibited.

Do all shows have an intermission?

Every show is unique. The BLUEBARN Theatre will typically have a 10-minute intermission in a 2-act play. Please check at the Box Office or call us at 402-345-1576 for more information.

What is the dress code at the BLUEBARN Theatre?

At a BLUEBARN performance, you’ll see all sorts of dress — from business casual to jeans. The rule of thumb is wear what makes you feel most comfortable.

How can I buy a gift certificate?

Gift certificates for BLUEBARN productions may be purchased for single tickets or for season memberships and are valid for the season for which you are purchasing them in. For more information, call the box office at 402-345-1576.

What is your policy on latecomers to a performance?

Please try your best to arrive on time, you don’t want to miss a moment! BLUEBARN patrons who arrive late will be seated at the discretion of the house manager. BLUEBARN Theatre will make every attempt at re-scheduling if seating is not available.

Does BLUEBARN have assigned seating?

Seating at the BLUEBARN Theatre is general admission. TRUBLU season members will have seats reserved in their name. Lobby opens 45 minutes before curtain time. The house generally opens 20 minutes before curtain time for seating.

Does the BLUEBARN offer content advisories on productions?

BLUEBARN Theatre does not offer advisories about subject matter, as sensitivities vary from person to person. If you have any questions about content, age-appropriateness, or stage effects (such as strobe lights or theatrical fog) that may have a bearing on patron comfort, please contact the box office at 402-345-1576.

Ailsa Craig Bar

The Ailsa Craig Bar located in the BLUEBARN lobby provides the perfect setting for a glass of wine, a cold beer, or one of our delicious cookies before the show and at intermission. The Ailsa Craig bar opens 45 minutes before the performance, or can be rented out for private parties or special occasions. Call us at 402-345-1576 for more information.
